The DeBartolo Family Foundation is committed to providing children the opportunity to reach their full potential. More than 162 schools in Hillsborough County are classified Title I schools, with a high percentage of economically disadvantaged students where at least 75% of those students qualify for free or reduced price meals.

To help offer enrichment and support programs for students, faculty and staff at these schools, the DeBartolo Family Foundation has created an Adopt-A-School program. During the 2022-2023 school year, we provided Mort Elementary in Tampa, Fla., backpacks and school supplies, teacher grants and a $25,000 donation to be used towards building community with extra-curricular and social experiences for students.

This academic year the Foundation has adopted Dover Elementary School. To date, we have provided grants to teachers, supplied new PE equipment, offered student incentives for their reading program and have supported a field trip to Lowry Park Zoo. We look forward to continuing to make an impact for Dover Elementary into 2024.

To qualify, schools must be designated a Title 1 school in Hillsborough County.
