Celebrating Excellence: Arjun Nair Named Valedictorian of Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School’s Class of 2025
The DeBartolo Family Foundation is proud to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of Arjun Nair, the Valedictorian of the Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School Class of 2025. Arjun’s academic journey is a testament to what’s possible through hard work, commitment, and a genuine desire to give back to the community.
With a remarkable 8.28 district GPA and 4.0 state GPA, Arjun has consistently demonstrated academic excellence throughout his high school career. But his success extends far beyond the classroom.
At BDCHS, Arjun took on multiple leadership roles. He is the founder and president of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Chapter, Vice President of DECA, and an active member of several prestigious honor societies, including Mu Alpha Theta and the National Honor Society. His involvement in these organizations reflects his drive to grow as a leader and collaborate with peers who share his passion for excellence.
Outside of school, Arjun’s impact is equally impressive. He volunteers at both Moffitt Cancer Center and AdventHealth, supporting postoperative patients with care and compassion. Through his work with Kumon, he tutors children in math and reading, helping young learners build strong academic foundations. Arjun also serves on the Mayor’s Youth Corps, working alongside Tampa Mayor Jane Castor to improve the local community.
His passions extend into music and spirituality as well. Arjun has studied South Asian percussion instruments for 11 years, plays the flute, and teaches students about Hinduism and spirituality at Chinmaya Mission, showing a well-rounded dedication to personal growth and cultural enrichment.
A National Merit Finalist and dual-enrolled student, Arjun has already graduated with an Associate in Arts degree from Hillsborough Community College. This fall, he will take the next step in his academic journey at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he plans to major in Biology, minor in Chemistry, and ultimately pursue a career as a surgical oncologist.
Arjun Nair embodies the spirit of leadership, resilience, and community service that the DeBartolo Family Foundation is proud to support and recognize. We congratulate him on this incredible milestone and look forward to seeing the positive impact he will undoubtedly continue to make in the years to come.
Congratulations, Arjun! Your future is bright, and we’re cheering you on every step of the way.
